Hi, I’m Judy Halliday, and I have been researching my own family history since 1993 after attending a family reunion that sparked a desire to “find out more”. Since then, family history research has been my obsession. My passion for our family history had spread far and wide among my many relatives who have entrusted me to keep and archive their family papers and photos.
I grew up in Harvey in the South West of Western Australia. My ancestors were Convicts, Group Settlers, and English and Scottish immigrants looking for a new life in our young country.
I have a Certificate of Distinction in Genealogical Research from the Society of Australian Genealogists. I’m also a member of the Western Australian Genealogical Society, the Association of Professional Genealogists and the Society of Australian Genealogists. My involvement in Ancestry’s World Archives Project, keying records for future databases, I see as ‘giving back’ to the genealogy online community, which has provided me with so much of my own family history.
